Your Privacy
ProQuest Information and Learning Company and its XanEdu business unit value your privacy and take precautions to protect the personal information you provide us from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. In several user applications based on the XanEdu™ and ProQuest^® online information systems, we ask you to provide contact information including your name, address, email address and phone number. In some cases, we also ask you to provide information about the courses you teach. We store your personal information in a database that we use to deliver the requested product to you.

Use of Your Personal Information
In some cases, we ask you whether you want to receive mail or email about our new products. We put your name on a mailing list for future product announcements only if you indicate that you want us to do so. If you contact us through our website and request information, we use the contact information you provide only for the stated purpose. Only a limited number of authorized employees have access to the information you provide. If your access to XanEdu and ProQuest products is through a textbook publisher or other provider, we may share your personal information with the provider of your access key or card unless you direct us not to do so. The textbook publisher or other provider may use this information for marketing purposes. If you do not want us to share this information, please select the corresponding check box on the Registration page. We will disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law or legal process. Your personal information will be used only for the purposes stated above, will not be shared with third parties other than those described above and will not be sold to third parties.

Use of the Information About Courses You Teach
We may share information about your use of specific documents with the publisher of the documents, including the name of your institution, your placement of documents into Works in Progress, the number of times you view a document during a search, an identification of the documents you adopt for use in course packs and information on document views from Works in Progress or adopted CoursePacks.

Viewing and Correcting Your Personal Information

How We Use Cookie Technology
The XanEdu and ProQuest information products use cookie technology to initiate and maintain your session connections and to compile aggregated statistics about website usage. The cookie stores encrypted information verifying your access to the system. In no case is it used to access personal information, nor is the session information maintained in the cookie made available to other organizations.

What Happens if the Company is Sold
If ProQuest, or its XanEdu business unit, were to merge with or be acquired by another organization, the database of customer information would be one of the assets acquired.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
ProQuest and its XanEdu business unit may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on the XanEdu website, and you may learn of such revisions by visiting our website.
